Little Steve loved animals, and his childhood was spent amongst Australia’s wildlife. When his parents started a wildlife refuge, Steve and his sisters helped care for injured animals. Steve shared his love of wildlife and his passion for protecting it through television programmes, and soon rose to international fame. He used his celebrity status to educate people about the importance of conservation, and the charity he and his wife founded continues to inspire people to this day.
